Austin Outdoor Honored with Industry Awards for Work in Palm Coast Community
PALM COAST, Fla. – Austin Outdoor is proud to announce that its landscape maintenance work at Ocean Hammock was honored with two awards – a state award, the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) Award of Excellence, and a national award, the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Environmental Improvement Grand Award. Both awards recognize excellence performed in the landscape through quality work and materials. William Dellecker, executive vice president of Austin Outdoor, said, “We are proud to receive this award on behalf of the Ocean Hammock community. Everyone’s involvement, especially that of the Ocean Hammock Beautification and Maintenance Committees, enabled the community to be recognized both on the state and national level. This is the essence of creating premier properties and building lasting relationships.”
Ocean Hammock is a 1,000-acre oceanfront community. Austin Outdoor has maintained Ocean Hammock’s landscape for more than a decade. To create the award-winning landscape, Austin Outdoor works closely with the Beautification and Maintenance Committees at Ocean Hammock through such initiatives as the development of a 10-year landscape plan.
Besides its work at Ocean Hammock, Austin Outdoor also received awards for its landscape installation work at the Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust Building in downtown Jacksonville and a private luxury residence in Palm Coast. This year, Austin Outdoor won a total of five industry awards for its landscape work.
Austin Outdoor accepted the FNGLA awards during a banquet held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando on Oct. 2, 2009. The PLANET awards were presented during a banquet at the Green Industry Conference on Oct. 30, 2009, in Louisville, Ky.
